- It is often argued/believed/suggested that… (Habitualmente se argumenta/cree/sugiere que…)
- One point of view in favour of… (Un punto de vista a favor de…)
- Another/One/An additional advantage of… (Una/Otra ventaja de…)
- Some/Many people suggest/feel/argue that… (Algunas/Muchas personas sugieren/sienten/argumentan que…)
- The main/first/most important advantage of…
- Another/One/An additional advantage of… (Una/Otra ventaja de…)
- One/Another/An additional disadvantage/negative effect of… (Una/Otra desventaja/efecto negativo de…)
- One point/argument against… (Un punto/argumento en contra de…)
- The main/first/most important disadvantage/drawback of…
- Although/Even though/Despite… (Aun cuando…)
- However/Still… (No obstante…)
- In spite of… (En lugar de…)
- Nonetheless/Nevertheless… (Sin embargo…)
- On the one hand/On the other hand…
Pros and Cons of Being a Facebook User
Facebook is one of the most important social networks in the world (or, at least, in the World Wide Web). Millions of people stay connected through their Facebook accounts and use the platform as a publishing space, a chatting room and a newsfeed at the same time. Have you ever thought about the Pros and Cons of being a Facebook user? Here are some points to start up.
Probably the main advantage of having a Facebook account is that you can stay in touch with a lot of people that, otherwise, you could not talk to just as often. Nonetheless, many people argue that the quality of conversations has declined since they were moved to the on-line environment. This, of course, would count as a Con.
Another advantage of being a Facebook user is that you can share with others what’s going on with your life almost instantly and stay aware of what’s happening to the people that you know. However, this could backfire on you: despite the privacy set-up options available for Facebook accounts, many users don’t get it right and share their intimate life details with a wide range of strangers. This practice could result in a real danger outside de World Wide Web.
As a conclusion, it could be argued that both advantages and disadvantages of Facebook interaction lies on the hands the users: if you are smart, you can have meaningful relations and protect your privacy even if you are a social network heavy user.
